Wayne McGregor became Resident Choreographer of The Royal Ballet in 2006. Since then he has brought to the Royal Opera House stage an amazingly diverse group of collaborators, creating modern ballets that transform and extend the language of classical dance. He now creates a new work as part of a mixed programme celebrating the centenary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth.

Joining McGregor’s creative team are regular collaborator Lucy Carter, who has designed the lighting for all of McGregor’s Royal Ballet commissions, and the ceramic artist and writer Edmund de Waal, best known for his captivating book The Hare with Amber Eyes.
