i just saw ss mendi in the linbury theatre at the royal opera house and i can't recommend it enough. it is astonishingly superb. it is overflowing with brilliance and artistry. get a ticket. go see it. see it twice? it's *excellent*.

Revisited the musical, A Man of Good Hope, at the Linsbury Theatre after its earlier showing on these shores a few years back.
The chorus, and actors, of the Isango Ensemble gave a searing insight into some aspects of a refugee boy's coming of age story. Compelling.
