Swedish bass Olle Zetterström is a member of the Royal Opera Chorus, which he joined in 2007. His solo roles with The Royal Opera have included Gaoler (Tosca), Fifth Gambler (The Gambler), Assassin (Macbeth, including on tour to Japan) and Footman (Der Rosenkavalier), and he has covered the roles of Second Man in Armour (Die Zauberflöte), Alcindoro and Sergeant (La bohème), Flemish Deputy (Don Carlo) and Crébillon and Rabonier (La rondine).
Zetterström was born in Gothenburg and studied at the Vadstena College and the Benjamin Britten International Opera School of the Royal College of Music. He sang with Glyndebourne Festival Chorus for the 2006 and 2007 seasons before joining the Royal Opera Chorus. His repertory includes Sarastro and Second Man in Armour (Die Zauberflöte), Collatinus (The Rape of Lucretia), Vario (Ezio), Superintendent Budd (Albert Herring), Frank (Die Fledermaus), Second Commissioner (Dialogues des Carmélites), First General (Sosarme), Osmin (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte), Don Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Rocco (Fidelio), Alidoro (La Cenerentola) and Father Trulove (The Rake’s Progress).
