An ROH Insights event celebrating the genius of choreographer Kenneth MacMillan was recently livestreamed via the Royal Opera House YouTube channel and is now available to watch on-demand.

The stream was the first of a series of ten Insight events celebrating the life and legacy of the choreographer, as part of Kenneth MacMillan: a National Celebration, a festival bringing together leading British dance companies to celebrate MacMillan’s on the 25th anniversary of his death.

Presented by broadcaster Clemency Burton-Hill, the evening featured dancers from both Birmingham Royal Ballet and The Royal Ballet, rehearsing passages from two of MacMillan's works: Concerto and The Judas Tree.

Also shown was footage from the archive of the choreographer's early works, with discussion from former Director of The Royal Ballet Monica Mason, and former Principals of The Royal Ballet Darcey Bussell, Alessandra Ferri, Donald MacLeary and Leanne Benjamin.

Is the Insight event on Friday 13th being live streamed as well? (Some like me don't subscribe to any social media) or wish to.
    Many thanks for any info.

Thank you so much for this article about the live streaming. I woke up in the night, checked my smartphone email, and saw the countdown box and that the streaming was due to start in 30 minutes, at 4am Korean time so I got up and watched it on my computer. I loved every minute of all of it, my first time to see dancers from the Birmingham RB (I would be buying a ticket to see Tyrone and Jenner dance if I were in the UK!). The panel discussion on KM was most interesting. Thank you, this was wonderful!
